Fear around pregnancy and birth isn't random. It follows a pattern – and that pattern can be interrupted. These two models explain how.
How reproductive fear deepens over time – from latent unease to full entrenchment.
Two paths from the same starting point – one deepens the fear, the other leads to healing.
Meet Alexia
I know this fear from the inside. When I fell pregnant in 2008, I fell into a terror I couldn't explain and couldn't talk about – and when I lost that baby, the first thing I felt was relief. That's when I knew something deeper was going on.
Pregnant again a year later, I tried everything to calm the fear. Nothing worked – so I worked it out myself. I cleared my phobia in my second trimester and went on to have two fearless home births. The method I built became the Head Trash Clearance Method and Fearless Birthing; the pattern I'd lived became RAD – Reproductive Anxiety Disorder – the framework that finally gives this fear a name. Sixteen years, four books and a podcast heard in 180+ countries later, I train professionals worldwide to recognise and support what I once carried in silence.
